Rock the Foundation TV Viewing Guide
There are a variety of options for streaming the event directly on your TV. Please visit the VIMEO website for details to stream via Apple TV, Roku, Android TV devices, Amazon Fire or Chromecast.
In most cases, using an HDMI cable (see photo below) to connect your laptop or desktop computer to your television is the easiest route as an HDMI will relay both the video AND audio feed to your television screen. If you have an Apple computer, you may need a special cable or explore connecting wirelessly to your TV as Apple does not include HDMI ports on their devices.
How to use an HDMI cable
- Once the computer is connected to the television (meaning your HDMI cable is plugged into your computer and TV), you will need to change the input on your television to the corresponding HDMI port i.e. if you plugged the HDMI into the port labeled HDMI 1, select HDMI 1 as your input.
- Click your private VIMEO link sent in your confirmation email.
- You’re ready to watch the presentation! Please remember that to bid on items, you and your guests will need to log into your individual Max Giving accounts. This can be done on a smartphone. Guests are also welcome to make their Fund-A-Need gifts in advance by clicking the Fund-A-Need tab on the site.
